Tiga Dam
📍 Tiga, Kano
A large reservoir in southern Kano State, built in 1971–1974 to supply irrigation and water to Kano City. Visitors come for picnics, fishing, boating and bird watching on the lake shore. It is a long drive from the city, so go by car and plan to return before dark. The UK FCDO currently advises against all but essential travel to Kano State, so check current travel advisories before you go.
