Osun-Osogbo Festival
📍 Osogbo, Osun
A roughly two-week festival held each year in July and August to renew the bond between the people of Osogbo and the goddess Osun. It ends with a procession led by the Arugba, a young votary carrying the offerings calabash, from the Ataoja's palace to the river shrine in the Sacred Grove. The 2026 edition ended on 7 August; expect very large crowds and book rooms early.
