Annual week-long celebration of the life and legacy of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, held at the New Afrika Shrine since 1998. Expect nightly concerts, symposiums, debates and exhibitions, with pre-events including an art competition (1 Oct, Kalakuta Museum), dance competition (3 Oct) and a 'Dress Fela' fashion show (10 Oct). Shows run late into the night, so plan ride-hailing and extra travel time for mainland traffic.
